Synopsis
Noah Vogel, a lonely and depressed therapist, tries to break away from his boring reality through lucid dreaming (= conscious dreaming) to cope with the death of his childhood friend, Titus, ten years ago. In these dreams, Noah falls for Lux, who represents Noah’s shadow character. She infiltrated Noah’s dreams and causes Noah to lose grip on reality. Titus, who acts as Noah’s dream guide, tries to warn him about Lux, but Lux outclevers Titus. The moment Noah realizes who Lux is, the damage has already been done and Lux has taken over Noah’s soul. He attempts to escape and wakes up, but the viewer is left wondering whose dream it was, his or hers?

Daisy Ip not only directs this film, she also wrote the script and portrays Lux. Together with Sabrina Gibbs (art director, costumes and producer) she is the driving force behind this project. Daisy Ip graduated from Antwerp´s actor´s academy Studio Herman Teirlinck, with a major in Cabaret. She later studied for a number of years at the film academy of Antwerp.

Sabrina has extensive know-how in styling and visual production. As art director of this film, she will combine these skills with her stylistic eye. Her job will be to ensure the logical succession of the images and combine all the different elements in the script.

02. Daisy Ip
–
Lux - the personal predator in Noah Vogel’s psyche. She symbolises the dark force of the psyche and she comes to life whenever Vogel slips into a slumber or a sleep, mentally.
03. Wouter Hendrickx
–
Titus - a dream guide, he is critical and pedantic. He exists in Vogel’s dreams. He is also the guardian of Vogel’s psyche, the proverbial guardian angel. Sometimes he acts as Vogel’s ‘sidekick’ or ‘wingman’.
